Samen met Robert Smit en twee andere jongens uit zijn buurt maakte Ferry in 1991 het album `The Spirit Of Adventure EP`. Met het geld dat het eerste album opbracht kocht Ferry een synthesizer en begon hij zijn eigen tracks te produceren.<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"/><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"/>Na in eerste instantie gabberplaten te produceren raakte Ferry ge�nteresseerd in trance en club. In 1996 bracht Ferry `Moonman-Don`t be afraid` uit, die in de UK single chart terecht kwam op #46. Dit was zijn eerste grote doorbraak in Europa als solo artiest, producer en componist.<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"/><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"/>In 1997 richtte Ferry en Robert Smit het label Tsunami op in samenwerking met Purple Eye Entertainment b.v. Dit bleek een gouden zet te zijn. Deze samenwerking resulteerde vrijwel direct tot een groot succes. Tsunami is een van de meest invloedrijke dance labels. Inmiddels hebben de partijen ook het label Polar State opgericht.<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"/><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"/></span><a name="Deel 2"></a><span style="color: #333333;">In februari 1999 kwam Ferry met zijn tweede soloproject, System F. met de titel `Out of the Blue`. Deze plaat bereikte de top 20 positie in de Engeland en werd daarmee een van de grootste hits van 1999. Ook het nummer `Cry` dat Ferry met Robert Smit produceerde bereikte in de UK charts de top 20 positie.
